Mike is the best drummer I've ever had the pleasure to know, and besides that, he sings great high harmony, and even lead on a few songs.  Along with Bill and Madison, Mike is one of the 3 founding fathers of the Circuit Breakers.  The band started one Saturday in April of 1984, in Bill Elliott's basement, when he used to live on Hanover Avenue.  Mike and Bill had played together for several years, toured the East Coast, in a band called Visions.  Visions had broken up, and the time was right for something new.

After a few weeks in Bill's basement, the practices moved to Madison's basement.  We set up on some old oriental rugs, and consequently we first named the band "The Oriental Rug Band".  That lasted until we got a job, and then we reconsidered the name.  Since we had blown some electrical circuits while playing, the name stuck, "Circuit Breakers".

Mike is the daddy to a lovely pair of children, Heather and Mike (Mikey Man).  Besides being a great drummer, wonderful dad, and super friend, he also sings and plays in "Band du Jour" and The Sequels, a Richmond based band, formerly know as the "Fredds".
