August 3 , 2005 - General Business Meeting - Wednesday night 7:30pm.
I - Dan T. called meeting to order.
II - Secretary's Report
Minutes posted. Larry made a motion to accept the minutes and Garfield seconded the motion. They were adopted.
III - Treasurer's Report
Larry made a motion and Garfield seconded it to accept the treasurer's report. All approved.
IV - Captain's Report
  • Three new speakers have been installed in the station to provide radio dispatch traffic throughout the building.
  • The upstairs computer was attached to the station's voice line, but has now been switched to the fax line.

V - Vice-President's Report

  • There will be a drill after this meeting to orient members to the new patient transport device (a SKED) that has been purchased for the Rescue Command 4 (RC4) vehicle. In addition, for those who were not present at the July meeting, an orientation to the vehicle itself will occur at that time.
VI - 1st Lieutenant's Report
  • Ed G. made a motion to use the rest of PMECF Grant Funds of $377.41 to purchase a setof command vests for Rescue Command 4 and safety vests for the ambulances. This will give each ambulance 3 vests, plus 2 vests on Rescue Command 4. Herb seconded the motion.
  • A reminder that please CLEAN UP after yourself while you are in the building.
VII - 2nd Lieutenant's Report
  • None.
VIII - Vehicle Officer's Report
  • Everything is running well .
IX - Auxiliary's Report
  • Bingo will be held on Sept 9th.
  • Pancake Supper to held September 16 th.
  • Bake Sale will be held September 24 th at Bank of Northumberland, Heathsville.
X - Building Committee Report
  • None.
XI - President's Report
  • A sign up sheet will be circulated for the farmer’s market. Help is needed from 11 AM to 1PM on August 20 th.
  • Picnic was very successful on July 23. Food and Fellowship was great.
  • Chris is still looking up information on the stretchers.
  • Sign up sheet for St. Stephens is being circulated. This is for the Christmas Count Down on September 3 rd.
XII - Old Business
  • None
XIII - New Business
  • Marty and Ray Hancock were voted in as probationary members.
  • Northumberland YMCA inquired whether MCVRS can supply some rescue squad equipment for football games. MCVRS has agreed to do this.
  • Mike brought up a proposal for having RGH hold training classes monthly for EMS, starting in the fall. He asked how many would be interested.
  • Herb inquired about upgrading the radio system. Ed G.and Dave will help do this.
  • A vote will take place in September on Charles Gibson and Pam Townshend.
XIV - Training Committee Report
  • Drill on SKED; orientation on RC4.
XV - Cadet Report
  • None.
