December 4, 2006 - General Business Meeting - Monday night 7:35 p.m.

I - Dan T. called meeting to order.
II - Secretary's Report
  • Minutes have been posted. Garfield made a motion to accept the minutes and Dave seconded the motion. They were adopted.
III - Treasurer's Report
  • The report will be held over till the January meeting .
IV - Captain's Report
  • There are new test for the Glucometer on each of the squads. They gave been replaced due to some bad strips. There is testing fluid also and a spare bottle in the closet. Keep note of the expiration date.
  • Dave has the new protocol changes for the books. If you need them see Dave after the meeting. There are several changes for ALS and CPR.

V - Vice-President's Report

  • None

VI - 1st Lieutenant's Report
  • A reminder that the use of 10 codes for Fire and Rescue radio transmissions is to be eliminated.
VII - 2nd Lieutenant's Report
  • None.
VIII - Vehicle Officer's Report
  • #48 is back and does NOT have current tags. Herb is waiting for all the paperwork to come in to complete this. In the meantime only use 48 in an emergency.
  • The old unit was bought by Mike Baughan.
  • The 3 rd gas tank has about 15 hours and the generator gauge is on the panel. See Herb after the meeting to familiarize yourself with this change.
IX - Training Officer's Report
  • CPR classes and updates will be held after the 1 st of the year. Classes will be announced on the radios.
X - Building Committee Report
  • The timer has been reset and the light replaced.
XI - President's Report
  • None.

XII - Old Business
  • The Christmas party will be Saturday, December 9 th. A request for volunteers for Friday evening at 4 PM and Saturday at 9 AM for set up and cleaning was needed. Announcements will be made on the radios on Friday & Saturday.
  • The Ballots were handed out for elections of new officers.
  • Nancy made a change for the Vice President position, stating that she is being taken off the Ballot and Larry would replace her name. She thanked the squad but felt she could not continue as Vice President.
XIII - New Business
  • A discussion on the 10 codes was brought up and Ed made a motion that we would NOT use the 10 codes during emergency radio transmissions. Janice made a motion to accept this and Diane seconded it.
  • Dave attended the holiday gathering at Callao.
  • The election results are as follows:
    • Captain – Dave Rundall
    • 1 st Lt – Ed Gotthardt
    • 2 nd Lt.- Devin Basye
    • Vehicle Officer – Herb Fowler
    • President- Dan Townshend
    • Vice President- Larry Wagner
    • Treasurer- Jeanne Widenmyer
    • Secretary- Sharon Jones
    • Member At Large – Rebekah Haynie
XIV - Auxiliary's Report
  • There will be NO more Bingo till March.
  • The invitation for the Christmas Party for the auxiliary was give by Rebekah
  • The Bake Sale was a success.
XV - Cadet Report
  • The dance for Halloween never took place and they are trying to reschedule.
  • The cadets will be on hand to help with the Christmas Party.
