7:30 PM - General Business Meeting – Wednesday, January 4, 2006.
I - Dave called meeting to order.
II - Secretary's Report
  • Ed made a motion to accept the minutes and Jeanne seconded it. A change of Chris Kernes who was Present in December was noted. The minutes were posted and adopted.
III - Treasurer's Report
  • Comparison was made between the balances of January 2005 and January 2006. An increase of $11,000 was noted.
  • A rundown of contributions from the Bonnie Hinton Memorial was also discussed.
  • Larry made a motion to accept the report and Ed seconded it.
IV - Captain's Report
  • None.

V - Vice-President's Report
  • None.
VI - 1st Lieutenant's Report
  • Katherine Cochran’s death on January 1 was announced. She was one of the Founders of Mid County and her funeral was noted.
  • A reminder that any repairs that need done should be reported to Ed G.
  • Also when gas is put in any of the units please fill with regular gas.
VII - 2nd Lieutenant's Report
  • None.
VIII - Vehicle Officer's Report
  • Lights were fixed on Command Vehicle 4. The strobes are still being worked on.
  • The door on # 48 was fixed. The generator parts are in but they have not been put on.
IX - Auxiliary's Report
  • The last Bake Sale at the Bank of Northumberland brought in over $900. Due to the Bank changing their hours on Saturday, a new location is being sought.
  • The Photo drive was a success and seemed to not have any problems.
  • Bingo will resume in March (there will not be any in January & February). .
X - Building Committee Report
  • None.
XI - President's Report
  • None
XII - Old Business
  • The stretcher Committee is waiting for pricing and will present to the Board in February.
XIII - New Business
  • Judy Cook was voted into the squad as a new member.
  • VAVRS will be held at the squad building on February 11 th. This will be an all day meeting and Dennis will contact the auxiliary about supplying lunch.
XIV - Training Committee Report
  • Enhanced EMT classes will be held At Rappahannock Community College starting January 10, 2006.
  • RMT evaluation training will be held in Yorktown.
  • Sandy and Devin will be holding a CPR training on January 8 th at 1 PM for those that need it.
  • A reminder that the training sessions will be held the 2 nd Sunday of each month

  • None.
