November 2, 2005 - General Business Meeting - Wednesday night 7:30 pm.
I - Nancy called meeting to order.
II - Secretary's Report
  • Minutes posted. Dan made a motion to accept the minutes and Paul seconded the motion. The minutes were adopted and posted.
III - Treasurer's Report
  • A copy is attached. Paul made a motion and Herb seconded it to accept the report. All approved.
  • A reminder that the Food Lion sign up has to be done once a year and this can be done on the web site.
  • Also mentioned was that we were $500 under where we were last year, due to Jeanne’s trying to keep expenses down. GOOD JOB.
IV - Captain's Report
  • V.A.V.R.S. District Meeting will be held November 19 th in West Point, a sign up sheet is being passed around. The list for those who need Flu shots has been handed in to the Health Department; you will be contacted when they become available.

V - Vice-President's Report

  • None.
VI - 1st Lieutenant's Report
  • A reminder that the squad will be short 7 members who will be attending the EMS symposium Nov 9 th thru 13 th.
  • Keys for the back lot at the High School are in the vehicles.
VII - 2nd Lieutenant's Report
  • None.
VIII - Vehicle Officer's Report
  • Reminder that the Kiwanis’s Breakfast will be Nov. 16th @ 7 AM , a sign up sheet was passed around.
IX - Auxiliary's Report
  • Bake Sale will be November 19 th.
  • Bingo will be Friday night.
  • The recent chicken dinner was a great success and was very good.
X - Building Committee Report
  • Ice cleats have finally been installed on the station roof, so we can expect significantly less damage to the gutters and heat pumps from snow sliding off the roof this winter.
XI - President's Report
  • A note was read from the Auxiliary about the Chicken Dinner .
  • A request was made that NO CRABS ARE TO BE COOKED IN THE SQUAD BUILDING .
  • The Callao Rescue Squad will be selling donuts at the Food Lion on Sat. for the benefit of Donnie Bryant.
  • Mid-County will be hosting the VAVRS quarterly meeting on Sat., 2/11/06
    from 4 pm to 6 pm.
XII - Old Business
  • The standard operating guidelines that were previously given out were put up for approval. Dan voted to approve them and Herb seconded it.
XIII - New Business
  • The stretcher in Vehicle 48 was broken but it has been repaired. A request for a stretcher Committee was requested and Paul, Chris and Devin will begin looking into information on new stretchers.
XIV - Training Committee Report
  • Report will be posted on the board.
  • There will not be a training drill this month due to the Symposium.
  • The EMT-B class at RGH has started. Two Mid-County members (Blackstone and Kauffman) are enrolled.
  • EMS Programs are going on at RCC in Warsaw and CE hours are provided. A syllabus will be posted.
  • MCI vests are on backorder.
XV - Cadet Report
  • None.
