I - Nancy called meeting to order.

II - Secretary's Report

Minutes posted. Dave made a motion to accept the minutes and Roger seconded the motion. They were adopted.

III - Treasurer's Report

Ed made a motion and Herb seconded it to accept the report. All approved.

IV - Captain's Report

  1. 27 calls for Sept.- 297 calls for the year.
  2. Protocols: The new regional patient care protocols are now in effect. Cindi is working on updating the contents for the yellow binders given to all members a couple of years ago.
  3. Ambulance patient compartments: Rebekah is doing a great job of wiping down the flat surfaces of the ambulance patient compartment before leaving the hospital. This needs to be done after every call. Do it while the AIC is writing the report. Use a clean washcloth, then leave it at the hospital and pick up another cloth to replace it.
  4. Broom on board: Brooms are now on board of each ambulance, stored in the backboard compartment. Make sure you put it back in unit after every use.
  5. Ruth Richardson’s Birthday: The County Board is having a tribute to Ruth Richardson as part of her 107 th birthday on Oct. 7 th at 2:30pm in front of Courts Building. Kenny Eades has asked for a standby squad because there will be numerous senior citizens present. Volunteers needed for a crew.
  6. NHS Football Standby: Sign-up sheet for Oct. Football games found in engine room.
  7. Emergency Services Appreciation by NN Electric Co-op. Oct. 7 th at 7:00pm in the NNEC auditorium in Warsaw. We have agreed to send 3 people. Rebekah and Ed have signed up. One slot still open. See Ed.
  8. NES Safety Day: need 2 crews (2 people each will be OK). Friday Oct. 29 th. Two shifts scheduled between 8:30-1:30. Sign up sheet circulating. Give the kids a tour of the ambulance and hand out some stickers or goodies.
  9. Callao Firemen’s Festival: Oct 23 rd. Parade line up at 11:00. Sign up sheet circulating.

V - Vice-President's Report

  • None.

VI - 1st Lieutenant's Report

  1. Apple Door will be up Oct. 14 to work on 1 st bay door.
  2. Radio work will be done on both units next week.

VII - 2nd Lieutenant's Report

  • None.

VIII - Vehicle Officer's Report

  • Everything running well. All vehicles to be inspected this month in routine maintenance.

IX - Auxiliary's Report

  • Bake Sale held on 9-25-04. Took in over $600.00. Chicken Dinner on 10-10-04.

X - Building Committee Report

  • None

XII - Old Business

  1. Cindi made a motion for the squad to purchase an internet capable computer as soon as possible. Ed seconded the motion. Dollar amount will be approved next meeting when Mike Connell presents cost projection for computer system.

  2. Tabled the motion indefinitely to install high-speed internet access at the station.

  3. Computer usage will be tracked after installation.

XIII - New Business

  • Pack 260 wants MCVRS building on Oct 30 th for Halloween party.

XIV - Training Committee Report

  • No discussion.
