October 5, 2005 - General Business Meeting - Wednesday night 7:30 pm.
I - Nancy called meeting to order.
II - Secretary's Report

A correction to the September minutes is as follows: Bill Moss was not voted into the squad, as stated. Jeanne made a motion to accept the minutes with the correction and Larry seconded it. The minutes were adopted and posted.
III - Treasurer's Report

Dan T. made a motion to accept the report and Larry seconded it. The report was approved.
IV - Captain's Report
  • A sign-up sheet for standbys at the football games was passed around during the meeting.

V - Vice-President's Report
  • None.
VI - 1st Lieutenant's Report
  • The Command vehicle Rescue 4 will go back to Fredericksburg for electric work.
  • Donnie Bryant came home October 5 th by Mid-County Rescue Squad volunteers, Ed G. & Danny Jackson .
VII - 2nd Lieutenant's Report
  • None.
VIII - Vehicle Officer's Report
  • State Inspection this month for Vehicles 46 & 48.
IX - Auxiliary's Report
  • Bake Sale was a good one on September 24 th
  • Pancake supper held on September 16 th was attended by a small crowd due to the hot weather.
  • Bingo will be held October 7 th.
  • Chicken dinner will be held on October 23 rd from 12 to 3 PM. A clean up date will be October 22 nd starting at 12.
X - Building Committee Report
  • None.
XI - President's Report
  • Vanecek's (contractor for ceiling tiles installed in the crew lounge) office called and said he would speak to Nancy the week of October 10 th about the ceiling tile.
XII - Old Business
  • Ice cleats will be installed on the station roof this month (October).
  • The Sportsman Swap (originally scheduled for this month) will be cancelled for this year because Roger Briney has other commitments at the Animal Shelter.
  • Larry Wagner said the MCI tabletop exercise held on September 29 th was a success and he thanked Mid County Rescue Squad Auxiliary for serving the meals. (Rebekah’s Brownies were a big hit).
XIII - New Business
  • Need nominating committee for Officers.
  • Christmas Party planning committee, the Christmas Party will be held December 10 th. Sign up sheets were passed around for the above.
  • Dan T. made a motion to suspend a one month wait and vote on Sharon Jones tonight and Jeanne seconded the motion.
  • Larry Wagner and Danny Jackson were voted off probation and are now regular members.
  • Sharon Jones was voted in as probationary member.
XIV - Training Committee Report
  • Monthly training will be held each 2 nd Sunday from 2-4 pm.
  • This months' training will be held October 9 th and will be on trauma.
  • EVOC classes will be held in Deltaville October 20 th thru the 22 nd. See training board for more information.
  • Harold Conley (Richmond County Rescue Squad) will conduct EVOC in Richmond County the 1 st of November. Details to be announced.
  • The MCI vests will be here in December.
  • The symposium to be held November 9 th thru the 13 th. Seven members have signed up.

  • None.
