September 7, 2005 - General Business Meeting - Wednesday night 7:30pm.
I - Nancy called meeting to order.
II - Secretary's Report

Minutes posted. made a motion to accept the minutes and Dave seconded the motion.

III - Treasurer's Report

Larry made a motion and Garfield seconded it to accept the treasurer's report. All approved.

A request was made to have a breakdown of gas that was used for the previous years, so that it can be budgeted for this year with the price of gas the way that it is.

IV - Captain's Report
  • A request for volunteers was made for the Edwardsville parade. The parade was at noon and a driver and others were needed.
  • A need for volunteers was reported for the YMCA youth football game.
  • There will be a Code Training session on Sunday.
  • Bill Henderson will be holding Basic EMT training at RGH on October 17 th, from 7 – 10 PM. All are encouraged to attend.
  • An EMT- Intermediate class will begin September 26 at West Point.
  • The Symposium is being held November 9 th thru 13 th. You will need to register before October and we still have rooms available.

V - Vice-President's Report

  • None.
VI - 1st Lieutenant's Report
  • The Command vehicle will be taken in to correct a problem with the lights. The lettering will also be corrected.
VII - 2nd Lieutenant's Report
  • Cindi asked that ALL information be entered on the PPCR forms.
VIII - Vehicle Officer's Report
  • Generator on 46 needs parts. There is a call into Houston (headquarters for Frazer).
IX - Auxiliary's Report
  • Bingo will be held Friday, September 9 th.
  • Pancake Supper will be September 16 th from 5-7 .
  • Bake Sale, September 24 th at Bank of Northumberland.
  • Chicken Dinner will be held in October.
X - Building Committee Report
  • None.
XI - President's Report
  • None.
XII - Old Business
  • A sign up sheet for the Farmers Market was distributed.
  • Grant was NOT approved for the sign. Jeff Newsome will discuss this with the auxiliary.
  • A football schedule for Northumberland High School varsity games was requested in order to have standby crews at the games.
XIII - New Business
  • A set of new Standard Operating Procedures, covering membership processing procedures and job descriptions for some of the operations officers, are being reviewed by the Board.
  • We are hoping Marty Hancock will be able to help out with membership processing.
  • Bob Moss and Pam Townshend are being voted into the squad tonight.
  • Garfield stated his church had a trailer going to Mississippi and the church was looking for volunteer drivers for the van. They were hoping to return at least by Wednesday. Any contributions will be taken.
  • 4 th Sunday in October is the date for the next Chicken Dinner.
  • A proposed Sportsman Swap Meet, for which use of the Mid-County station has been requested (scheduled for October) was opened for discussion. A suggestion that the Auxiliary be included was also discussed. Dave approved and Janice seconded a motion.
XIV - Training Committee Report
  • A Code Drill is being held Sunday, Sept 11 th and all are encouraged to attend. Continuing education credits will be given.
XV - Cadet Report
  • None.
