| The Local FFA Alumni
is an organization that supports the local FFA Chapter. Anyone can become
a member, not just former FFA members. Our local Alumni has been named
the Top Chapter in the State for the last 8 years, and has received
National recognition, each of these years. We presently have 41 members,
who take on various task during the year. Some of their activities include
the annual cow patty contest, which goes to sponsor scholarships, and send
FFA members to leadership camps and conferences. The group meets only 2-3
times a year, and performs most of its jobs in committees. The Alumni also
prepares the annual FFA Chapter Banquet, and host a teacher luncheon for
the NHS Faculty during National FFA Week. They also send a member to the
Washington Leadership Conference in Washington, D. C. during the summer.
Anyone interested in being involved in the development of our young people
through FFA activities is invited to join. Dues are $15 per year, or lifetime
memberships are available at a cost of $150. |
