Save & Restore

Please read the following documentation carefully and completely!
These instructions are written for Netscape Communicator 4.5, but work for other versions as well.

How to Save your bookmarks: 
Not a bad idea, but especially important if changing your Netscape software.

1.  From your windows desktop, click START->Program Files and double click Windows Explorer
2.  Locate your bookmark.htm file, which is generally located at: c:\program files\netscape\users\xxxxxxxx (xxxxxxxx is 
     either User00 or your profile name)
3.  Highlight bookmark.htm and then press Ctrl-C (hold down Ctrl key and touch the C key) to copy
4.  Select a destination folder where you want to place the copy of your address book and press Ctrl-V to paste the file.
    You should see a copy of bookmark.htm placed in your destination folder.


How to Restore your bookmarks: 
The bookmark.htm must have previously been saved.
1.  From your windows desktop, click START->Program Files and double click Windows Explorer
2.  Locate your bookmark.htm file which you previously saved. 
3.  Highlight bookmark.htm and then press Ctrl-C (hold down Ctrl key and touch the C key) to copy
4.  Locate your Netscape profile folder where your bookmark.htm is to be placed.  It is generally located at
     c:\program files\netscape\users\xxxxxxxx (xxxxxxxx is either User00 or your profile name)
5.  Press Ctrl-V to paste the bookmark.htm into your Netscape profile area.
